Spotting Future Celebrities in Random Movie Roles - Part 1

Image
I’ve always liked spotting famous people in tiny roles before they were famous. I’m watching Delirious from 2006 with Steve Buscemi and Michael Pitt . It’s a movie I havn’t seen before, about paparazzi, and about 17 minutes in, the woman working the door at a club looked familiar. It's  Meghan Trainor . Edit: NOPE its  Melissa Rauch ! Not a major role. Just there for a few seconds before anyone knew who she was. I don’t know why I enjoy this stuff so much, but I always notice it. Old movies and TV shows are full of people who ended up becoming massive years later. At the time they were just another extra, side character, or someone with one line. It’s interesting seeing that stage before the fame, when nobody watching would’ve had any idea where they’d end up. Also, I’m probably more invested in spotting background celebrities than the actual plot half the time.

One of the best movies I've ever seen! aka: Project Hail Mary

Last night I watched Project Hail Mary. I knew nothing about it and I'm truly glad I didn't. It is a great movie. It made me think. It made me lol. It made me cry. If you can, I strongly suggest that you watch it knowing as little about it as possible....it makes for a true roller-coaster of a ride/watch. I want to say so much about it but I feel that anything more I say will ruin part of that ride. Project Hail Mary is in my top ten movies of the last ten years ...heck it may even end up on my top 50 of all time list! I think I'll make proper review of it in a few months time...yeah, good idea.  BTW its 16 days till my birthday :)

A New Blogger in 2025!!! Why?

A New Blogger in 2025! Why? Permanence is why. I've recently had the realization that nothing online has any sort of permanence. And that's shite. Think of all the websites you have loved or created, once someone stops paying for them (in whatever currency is taken as payment) they are just gone. I tried to get some stuff off tumblr today and its totally gone. The further I looked into old sites/blogs etc that I had created at some stage they were also gone or now behind a paywall. The only thing that has survived so far is Facebook and these Google owned blogger sites. All of my old Blogger sites are still here....actually my wordpress.com sites are all still up....for now. I feel a change with Facebook is coming as less and less people use it and I stopped paying for my brettfoster.net url this year (update: I bought it back in 2026), yet I still want a place I can post to and direct people to who may be interested in my projects. and I don't want to have to pay for th...
